Project of the Month

Stairs, the entrance to a lot of structures, especially homes

For this project we cleaned up three staircases. One with the brick you see below. Here we power washed the masonry clean of any debris, mildew, mold or dirt and used our vacuum sealed grinders to remove any deteriorated mortar. We vacuum out any remaining dust, then we provide a sample for the client of the new mortar mixture that will be used, after a test mock up or two we usually hit the nail on the head and come up with a match that is as close as humanly possible and one that ultimately the client approves and is happy with.

Second Staircase Cracks

The second staircase had various
cracks running through it.
Though we do not specialize
in concrete work, our masons
are able to perform concrete
patching. Here we removed any
corroded, separating concrete
and patch closed.

Concrete Patching

This concrete is still wet, and the
color will soften and lighten upon
drying, but it sure is better than what
we had to work with prior.

Slate Repair

The third stair we repaired was
made of slate. We performed
the same duties as the brick in
the first example and followed
the same sequence of events
involving the customer.

Professional Installation

Again this mortar mixture is
still drying, but the professional
installation, time taken carefulness
and cleanliness is what sets us
apart from our competition.
